One of the top emerging prospects that college coaches and scouts have came across this high school season was no other than 2020 PG Deivon Smith out of Grayson High School in Loganville, Georgia. The 6-foot-1 point guard is a supreme and gifted athlete with surprising bounce for a player his size. He has the elite speed as a point guard and is at his best in the open floor.
He is an outstanding rebounder at 6-foot-1 and averaged nearly 9-10 rebounds per game and that is a fact. Deivon has certainly earned the spotlight and now has become from just one of the best players in Georgia to one of the best players nationally in the class of 2020. “It’s a blessing. From being overlooked to getting recognition for all the hard work I’ve put in and I’m glad it’s paying off”, Smith tells me after asking how does it feel to receive the national spotlight.

Deivon has been pouring in offers from left and right since the start of the season back in November. His recent offer has come from Providence. He also has offers from schools like TCU, Florida, Alabama, Clemson, Xavier, and others. “Alabama, Oregon, Xavier, Georgia, Providence, Georgia Tech, and Louisville have been contact with me the most recently”, Deivon tells me. He also tells me that schools like Virginia, NC State, Oregon, Louisville, and Virginia Tech have shown interest but have not officially offered just yet. He has taken visits so far to Georiga and Georgia Tech and told me he might take a visit to Louisville this weekend. Deivon will be running with the Atlanta Celtics on the Adidas Gauntlet this spring, summer.
