Top 2020 prospect SG Moses Moody talks recruitment and how being at Montverde Academy (FL) helped his game.

The Arkansas native, junior shooting guard Moses Moody, transferred from North Little Rock High School (AR) after his sophomore season to powerhouse Montverde Academy (FL) for his junior year. Moody is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard with solid size and a clean shooting stroke and release. He is a high volume shooter from the perimeter and is able to spread defenses when he is on the floor.

I got a chance to talk to Moses on his recruitment up to this point in his high school career. He holds offers from schools like Arkansas, Florida, Auburn, Ohio State, Stanford, Baylor, Florida State, and more. “Ohio State, Stanford, Vanderbilt, and Arkansas have been in touch with me the most recently.” Moses tells me. He also tells me has taken only two visits so far, an official to Arkansas and an unofficial to Florida, but plans on taking more visits soon to other schools.

I asked Moses since being at Montverde Academy, what has helped you in regards to your game? “Just the mental aspect of everything honestly.” Moses tells me. “Coach Boyles knowledge has also helped me and because he does not hold back on anything and will tell you the truth about your game”, he says. Moses also tells me his IQ has been stronger and just playing against some of the top players in almost every game has developed him into a better player. The junior two-guard will once again be running with Bradley Beal Elite (MO) this spring, summer on the Nike EYBL circuit. Moses Moody, if not the best, will be one of the best knockdown shooters on this season’s circuit.
