The top-50 junior two-guard DJ Gordon out of First Love Christian (PA), which is located right outside of Pittsburgh, has been receiving the national recognition throughout his junior campaign. He sits at 6-foot-5 and is a prospect who is very athletic and could be known as an unstoppable playmaker in the open court. DJ is an all level scorer and rebounds at a high level for a guard. He holds good IQ and always finds himself around the ball.

I spoke to DJ regarding his recruitment so far up to this point and going into his last year of AAU. He holds offers from Virginia Tech, Arizona State, Dayton, TCU, South Florida, Kent State, and others so far. “So far the schools that have been in contact with me the most are Arizona, Pitt, Virginia Tech, Illinois, Providence, Maryland, Auburn, and VCU”, DJ tells me.

He has taken five visits up to this point and those were to Kent State, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Dayton, and West Virginia all unofficially. “I have not taken any officials yet but I am planning on taking some in about May and June.” DJ says. Gordon will be running with Team Final (PA) on the Nike EYBL circuit this spring, summer. He tells me this year he is hoping to complete a full EYBL season with Team Final after not really playing for a full year with All Ohio (OH) 16U last spring. “I wasn’t ready then but now I feel more prepared and I know what to expect.”, DJ tells me when asked about the EYBL circuit.
