One of the spring’s hottest names, Josh Hall talks recruitment and where he stands up to this point

One of the hottest names this spring has been the 6-foot-9 forward Josh Hall out of Moravian Prep (NC). Josh has been and will be running with Team Loaded (NC) in the Adidas Gautlet this AAU season. Josh holds a plethora of offers from high level programs. Schools like Kansas, Florida, Virginia Tech, NC State, East Carolina, Cincinnati, Providence, VCU, and others have already offered him so far up to this point in his recruitment.

I had a chance to speak with Josh regarding his recruitment so far going into the spring live period this weekend. He tells me Kansas, Virginia Tech, Virgina, Florida, Florida State, Michigan, Texas, NC State, Wake Forest, VCU, East Carolina, Providence, Rutgers, Notre Dame, Boston College, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State, Witchita State, and Cincinnati have been in contact with him the most.

“Virginia, Florida State, Michigan, Texas, Notre Dame, Boston College, and Pittsburgh have shown interest but have not officially offered.” Josh says. He has only taken one unofficial visit to NC State just a few weeks ago but has not taken any other visits recently. However, he does plan on taking future visits. “I’ll be talking with my parents and getting that sorted out in the near future.” Josh tells me.

Why is he one of the hottest names this spring? Josh holds a Brandon Ingram type of body frame sitting at 6-foot-9. He is able to play the two, three, or four positions offensively and is able knock down jumper from beyond the three point line. Josh has great upside, elite athleticism, and could impact the glass as well as a rebounder. “Not taking plays off and being more vocal” is what Josh tells me when asked what does he need to improve on in terms of his skill set.
