As postseason play continues for most programs in our national top-25, our week 14 national rankings have a few shifts and new top-5 for this week. A few big matchups headlined last week’s games and a couple more important matchups will be played this week as well. Below you can see our national top-25 and “next five” rankings for this week as the high school season slowly comes to an end.

1. Montverde Academy (FL) (25-0) – The Eagles still secure our number one spot and should stay put until the GEICO Nationals come along in April.

2. Prolific Prep (CA) (26-3) – 2020 SG Jalen Green goes for 28 and 25 points in Prolific Prep’s two games over the weekend, leading them to a 2-0 record in the Crush in the Valley Showcase session II. The Crew will play their last regular season game next weekend before they enter the Grind Session playoffs.

3. La Lumiere (IN) (22-3) – The Lakers get a huge win last week over ISA (OH) and improve their record to 22-3 overall. La Lumiere should be a lock for the 2020 GEICO Nationals and will have their last regular season game later this week.

4. Wasatch Academy (UT) (27-2) – Wasatch Academy’s regular season came to an end a couple weeks ago and they will await an invite to the 2020 GEICO Nationals coming in April, which they should make once again this season.

5. Sunrise Christian (KS) (21-3) – The Buffaloes enter our top-5 nationally once again this season and improve to a 21-3 overall record on the season. Sunrise Christian will have their last regular season game of the season later this week.

6. Hamilton Heights (TN) (25-3) – The Hawks lose their number two spot in our national top-25 after taking a lost to an unranked but talented The Rock (FL) squad this past weekend in Florida. Hamilton Heights did pick up a win to end their regular season against Potter House Christian (FL) last week.

7. Sierra Canyon (CA) (27-4) – The Trailblazers have advanced to the CIF Southern Section Championships title game later this week and will face top-25 powerhouse Mater Dei (CA) Friday night. Sierra Canyon won this same matchup a season ago.

8. DeMatha Catholic (MD) (29-3) – The Stags will face top-25 nationally ranked Paul VI (VA) in the WCAC Championship game tonight. Both programs spilt their season series this high school season. A possible trip to the 2020 GEICO Nationals will be on the line.

9. Oak Hill Academy (VA) (36-3) – The Warriors improve to a 36-3 overall record after winning their only game last week and where LSU commit 2020 SG Cam Thomas finished with a game high 41 points. Oak Hill Academy will play their last game of the regular season this Saturday night.

10. Long Island Lutheran (NY) (22-3) – Long Island Lutheran enters our top-10 national rankings for the first time this high school season after going 2-0 at their own Long Island Lutheran Postseason Invitational this past weekend. The Crusaders will now await for postseason play next month.

11. Bishop Gorman (NV) (26-3) – Bishop Gorman captured the Nevada class 4A Desert Region championship this past weekend and improve their record to 26-3. The Gaels will now be looking to capture a state championship and will play their next game Thursday night.

12. Minnehaha Academy (MN) (21-3) – Minnehaha Academy drops out of our top-10 national rankings after taking a lost last week to Eden Prairie (MN), marking only their third lost of the high school season. The Redhawks will have two more games this week to end their regular season.

13. Dorman (SC) (27-1) – Dorman moves onto the Elite 8 round of the SCHSL class 5A state playoffs after winning the first two rounds last week. The Cavaliers will play again later this week with a trip to the 2020 GEICO Nationals on the line.

14. Paul VI (VA) (24-7) – Paul VI gets passed Gonzaga (DC) in the WCAC championships semifinals and will face top-10 nationall ranked DeMatha Catholic (MD) in the title game tonight. Both programs spilt their season series this high school season. A possible trip to the 2020 GEICO Nationals will be on the line.

15. IMG Academy (FL) (19-6) – The Ascenders regular season came to a close last weekend and the defending national champions will now wait to see if they will be invited to the 2020 GEICO Nationals coming in April.

16. St. Frances Academy (MD) (35-4) – St. Frances Academy took a lost to Mount St. Joseph’s (MD) over the weekend in the MIAA title game and move down a couple spots in our top-25 nationally rankings. The Panthers will begin post season play this week in the BCL quarterfinals.

17. Scotlandville (LA) (31-3) – The Hornets are on a 7-game winning streak since their last lost to number one Montverde Academy (FL) about a month ago and ended their regular season this past week. Scotlandville will begin postseason play sometime this week and are the favorites to win LHSAA state title.

18. Centennial (CA) (27-4) – The Huskies took another lost earlier this week to unranked Harvard-Westlake (CA) but bounced back with a win over then nationally ranked top-25 Rancho Christian (CA). Centennial will await bracket play next week.

19. The Patrick School (NJ) (18-6) – The Celtics win their first round game of the Union County Tournament by 40 points over Plainfield (NJ). The Patrick School will face Linden (NJ) in the next round later this week.

20. Grayson (GA) (28-1) – The Rams continue their winning streak into the class 7A GHSA playoffs and move onto the Elite 8 round this week. Grayson will host powerhouse Norcross (GA) later this week in a highly anticipated matchup. A spot in the 2020 GEICO Nationals will be on the line for the Rams.

21. Camden (NJ) (23-1) – Camden improves their season record to 23-1 overall and their winning streak to a 19-game winning streak after going 2-0 in their games last week. The Panthers will have two more games this week against Timber Creek Regional (NJ) and Shawnee (NJ).

22. St. Benedict’s Prep (NJ) (28-4) – St. Benedict’s Prep enters our national top-25 for the first time this high school season after caputring the New Jersey Prep A State title last week against nationally top-25 ranked Blair Academy (NJ). The Gray Bees have had an incredible quiet season and come in this week as our number 22.

23. Mater Dei (CA) (25-6) – The Monarchs are one of the hottest teams in the nation right now and go 3-0 in pool play of the CIF Southern Section Championships. Mater Dei will have a major matchup against top-10 nationally ranked Sierra Canyon (CA) in the title game this Friday night.

24. Blair Academy (NJ) (24-3) – Blair Academy’s great 2019-2020 high school comes to an end last week after falling to then unranked St. Benedict’s Prep (NJ) last week in the New Jersey Prep A State finals. The Bucs end the season with a 24-3 overall record and should begin next season in our nationally preseason top-25.

25. West Oaks Academy (FL) (25-6) – West Oaks Academy win their only game last week against Central Pointe Christian Academy (FL) 93-85. They will begin postseason play later this week in the SIAA playoffs.

Next Five:

Rancho Christian (CA) (22-7) – The Eagles are back in our “next five” rankings after taking back-to-back loses last week in pool play of the CIF Southern Section Championships. The Eagles season is not over just yet as they wait for the state championship brackets to be released next week.

Sheldon (CA) (25-5) – Sheldon will be playing in the semifinals of the CIF Sac-Joaquin Section Championships this week after going 2-0 in their first two rounds last week. The Huskies have been marked as the favorite to win the entire bracket.

Westtown School (PA) (24-7) – The Westtown School have been crowned PAISAA champions over the weekend, ending their fantastic 2019-2020 high school season. The Moose capture their third PAISAA championship in the last five years. Expect this group to be apart of our preseason top-25 for the 2020-2021 season.

St. John’s College (DC) (24-7) – The Cadets took a lost in the semifinals to top-10 nationally ranked DeMatha Catholic (MD) as part of the WCAC championship tournament this past weekend and will face Gonzaga (DC) for the third place title tonight.

Baltimore Poly (MD) (21-2) – The Engineers will begin postseason play in the MPSSAA 3A class this week after being off last week. Baltimore Poly has been marked as they favorties to win it all.
