Buy Stock Now prospects

We are halfway through the 2021-2022 high school season and the 2022 AAU season is slowly but quickly approaching. A few prospects have already made names for themselves throughout this season and others are slowly on the rise up. Here we take a look at which prospects from the 2023, 2024, and even 2025 class that college coaches should keep tabs on immediately and invest their stock in now. The list of “Buy Stock Now” prospects so far this season.

2023 G Trey Parker (Vertical Academy)
Trey Parker started off the 2021-2022 high school season on the right note and making his name a national name throughout. The 6-foot-2 guard has been running with Mikey Williams and the new Vertical Academy (NC) squad during his junior campaign. Parker is an incredible scoring guard and has the athletic ability to make acrobatic plays at the rim. He holds a smooth pull up jumper, quick hands on the defensive end, and has the ability to make plays for others offensively. Trey should already have a few interest and offers already and will receive more as the season goes on and we head into the grassroots season. NC A&T and Kentucky Christian are the current offers he holds so far.

2023 F Devin Williams (Corona Centennial)
One of Corona Centennial’s key pieces, Devin Williams is certainly one of those “buy stock now” prospects. He is a 6-foot-10 forward with long arms, an eye-catching wingspan, and holds versatility on both ends of the floor. Williams runs the floor, crashes the glass consistently, an athletic lob finisher at the rim, and able to hit mid-range jump shots. His lengthy arms helps him alternate and block shots on the defensive side of the ball. Schools like George Mason, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, New Mexico, New Mexico, and others have already offered and/or expressed interest. Williams should receive much more attention as the season goes along and into the grassroots season.

2024 PG Jase Richardson (Bishop Gorman)
Jase Richardson, son of the former NBA guard Jason Richardson, has already made his name known out West running with powerhouse Bishop Gorman (NV) this season. The 6-foot-3 point guard has ran the point guard duties for the powerhouse school and plays a very mature game already. He is a true point guard with elite size and a great feel for the game. Richardson is a pass first point guard and has the playmaking abilities already set in him as a sophomore. He has the ability to score when he needs too, able to hit perimeter shots, get downhill, finish at the rim through contact, and has incredible floor awareness. Jase should be one of the premiere prospects in the 2024 class. Arizona State, Michigan State, Eastern Michigan, Western Illinois, and Washington have already offered.

2024 F Karter Knox (Tampa Catholic)
The 6-foot-7 forward Karter Knox is going to be following the same foot steps as his older brother, New York Knicks forward Kevin Knox, if he continues to play at an elite level and develop his game over time. The sophomore forward has already shown flashes of his older brother Kevin this season running with Tampa Catholic (FL). Knox is able to score on all levels, has a mature physical frame, excels in transition, and strength to finish inside down low. Karter is also impactful in other ways as he is able to block shots on the defensive end, rebound the ball, and just shows great activity on the floor. Boise State and Arizona State have offered so far while other schools have shown interest.

2024 F A.J. Swinton (DeMatha Catholic)
DeMatha Catholic, one of the nation’s most consistent basketball schools out of the DMV, has always produced some elite talent over the last decade and beyond. Sophomore forward A.J. Swinton is definitely next up and should continue to grow in the program over the next couple years. Swinton holds a football-like frame, a reliable three-point shot maker, has the athleticism, and a power finisher when attacking or making plays at the rim. The 6-foot-6 forward does the little things on the floor as well. Diving on the floor for loose balls, being effective on the glass, and just shows great hustle when on the floor. George Mason, Howard, Virginia Tech, Georgetown, and others have offered and shown interest already.

2023 PG Aric Demings (Duncanville)
Aric Demings put the nation on noticed in early December after he gave powerhouse Montverde Academy (FL) 23 points that included the game winning 3-ball to take down the number one team in the country. Demings sits at 6-foot-1 with an elite shot release and quick jumper. He is a terrific shot making guard that plays with toughness. Aric is a pesky defender who will always put pressure on the ball handler as well. He can finish at the rim through traffic, run the point guard duties, and a capable all-level scoring threat. UT-Rio Grande Valley and Morgan State are his only offers for now but that could just over the next few months.

2024 G Trentyn Flowers (Huntington Prep)
Trentyn Flowers has been outstanding to begin his sophomore season at powerhouse Huntington Prep (WV). He has recently earned offers from Kansas, USC, Tennessee, Memphis, Georgetown, and LSU since the beginning of November. He is a 6-foot-8 guard with terrific upside. Trentyn is capable of doing multiple things on the floor. He has already shown he can consistently knockdown perimeter jumpers, rebound at a high rate, and has an unnoticeable passing ability at his size. Flowers already has great size, mature body, and feel for the game. He will obviously have much to learn as he grows in the game of basketball but the potential is certainly there.

2025 PG Danny Carbuccia (Archbishop Stepinac)
I think Danny Carbuccia has already established himself as one of the top ranked point guards in the young 2025 freshmen class. The 6-foot-1 point guard has already blew up halfway through his freshman campaign with Archbishop Stepinac (NY). He has such a mature feel for the game, a high IQ for a young freshmen, impressive point guard skills, and of course has that New York swagger to his game. Carbuccia is able to knock down jumpers, finish plays at the rim, an excellent passer, and makes good reads offensively. He is an active defender and alert with his hands to snag steals whether on-ball or off-ball. Schools like Seton Hall, Fairfield, St. Bonaventure, Fordham, St. Louis, Robert Morris, Stony Brook, LIU, St. Peter’s, and others have already expressed interest or offered.
