The City of Palms Classic is always one of the major top tier high school events we are always looking forward to each and every season. We are in a special year for the 2023-2024 high school season as it will be the 50th Anniversary for the famous event. The list of programs and prospects expected have finally been released and this should certainly be one of the most loaded fields when talking about the the City of Palms Classic.
The City of Palms Classic is scheduled to take place December 18th to December 23rd and back will be held back at Florida Southwestern State College at Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
The 16-team field at the City of Palms Classic’s 50th Anniversary includes Montverde Academy (FL), IMG Academy (FL), Columbus (FL), Westminster Academy (FL), Paul VI (VA), McEachern (GA), Archbishop Stepinac (NY), Archbishop Ryan (PA), Don Bosco Prep (NJ), Richmond Heights (OH), Link Academy (MO) Long Island Luthern (NY), Millennium (AZ), North Meck (NC), Cannon School (NC), and Mariner (FL).
The Signature Series, which is a 4-team bracket, includes Mater Dei (CA), Riviera Prep (FL), Victor Christian Academy (FL), and Windermere Prep (FL). The “Small Town” Signature Series, another 4-team bracket, includes Lexington (SC), Buckhorn (AL), Lynn County (KY), and Charlotte (FL). The Thimlar Tribute game will be between Fort Myers (FL) and Bishop Verot (FL) on Wednesday December 20th.
